Stay. Move. Repeat.

We’re excited to announce that Hotomobil has officially joined the Turkish Chambers – Commerce & Industry, and they’re bringing with them more than just campers. They’re bringing a bold, fresh perspective on how people live, travel, and experience freedom on the road.

Founded by Pınar Kamçı, Hotomobil isn’t your average camper manufacturer. In fact, there’s nothing average about them. From their factory in Gebze, Türkiye, they’ve built a name that stands for innovation, resilience, and design excellence. And now, they’re getting ready to take on the U.S. market — and we’re proud to be part of that journey.

Innovation on Wheels Meets U.S. Market

Hotomobil produces mobile living units that are compact yet luxurious, practical yet exciting. Whether you’re planning a solo escape into the mountains or an off-grid adventure across the deserts of the Southwest, their lineup — including the futuristic Cyberglad and the ultra-rugged Gladiator is built to go the distance.

And yes, they’re fully compatible with U.S. truck bed sizes. That means setup is seamless, removal is easy, and usage is versatile. These aren’t just campers. They’re full-fledged adventure stations, ready for beaches, national parks, tailgates, or even rescue missions.

Built to Move. Designed to Stay.

At Hotomobil, form follows function, but never at the cost of style. Each unit is crafted from next-generation fiberglass composite, featuring handmade interiors, custom textiles, and built-in high-performance systems. They’ve even integrated technology from yacht-building to raise durability and comfort to a new level.

Take the Scenic Route, Hotomobil Is Built for It!

Even more impressive? Their insulation system. Thanks to cutting-edge materials, these units can handle extreme climates, from blazing heat to freezing cold. In other words, you can camp anywhere, go anywhere, live anywhere.

Bitcoin, Robotics, and Beyond

Hotomobil is not afraid to lead. They’ve adopted robotic automation, 3D prototyping, and advanced production workflows to push the limits of what’s possible. They’ve also secured deals with major brands like Ford Motors, showing just how serious they are about quality and integration.

And for tech-forward customers, here’s a bonus: Cyberglad units can be purchased with Bitcoin.

What’s Next?

Now that Hotomobil is setting its sights on North America, our Chamber is stepping in to support its growth, helping it connect with the right partners, local markets, and industry leaders across the United States, Canada, and beyond.

Why This Matters?

The U.S. RV and overland vehicle market is massive, over $90 billion a year—and growing. But it’s also competitive. To stand out, you need more than just a product; you need a story, a design philosophy, and a team that believes in what they’re building. That’s exactly what Hotomobil brings.

Sleep Under Stars, Wake Up Anywhere.

We see big potential for Hotomobil in areas like:

Outdoor lifestyle & recreation

Emergency housing & disaster relief

Eco-tourism

Municipal & mobile services

Sustainable living solutions

Roads Unlocked. Limits Removed.

We’re proud to have Hotomobil in our network, not just because of what they build, but because of the vision and values they represent. We believe in companies that think long-term, innovate boldly, and deliver value with integrity.

So here’s to new beginnings, to mobility, design, and freedom. And most of all, to collaboration.

Welcome to Turkish Chambers, Hotomobil. Let’s make some tracks!

The Turkish Chambers -Commerce & Industry proudly welcomes Evrim Ağacı (Tree of Evolution) as its newest member, marking a significant addition to the Chamber’s growing network of impactful and visionary organizations.

Founded in 2010 by Dr. Çağrı Mert Bakırcı, Evrim Ağacı has grown from a university student initiative into one of the most respected science communication platforms in the Turkish-speaking world. Now registered as a U.S.-based LLC, the organization serves millions of readers and viewers worldwide through its bilingual content in Turkish and English.

Best known for its highly popular YouTube channel—now with over 4.5 million subscribers and close to 2 billion total views—Evrim Ağacı is dedicated to making science accessible, combating misinformation, and fostering a global culture of critical thinking. The platform produces in-depth educational articles, myth-busting explainers, video lectures, podcasts, and public science outreach, all grounded in rigorous research and peer-reviewed knowledge.

“Evrim Ağacı’s membership reflects the Chamber’s commitment to aligning with institutions that advance public understanding, uphold intellectual integrity, and contribute meaningfully to global discourse.” said Ismail Onat, President of the Turkish Chambers -Commerce & Industry. “Their work stands as a rare bridge—connecting the complexity of science with everyday understanding. It’s the kind of clarity-driven, purpose-led effort we’re proud to welcome into our Chamber.”

Evrim Ağacı’s influence extends far beyond digital content. The platform collaborates with academic institutions, participates in science festivals, supports public education programs, and contributes to secondary-school curriculum development in Türkiye. Its newly expanded English-language initiative—Tree of Evolution—aims to bring its signature approach to a wider, global audience.

In addition to welcoming Evrim Ağacı as a member, the Turkish Chambers sees a significant opportunity for collaboration between the organization and a wide range of sectors. Tourism companies, convention authorities, local economic development offices, and public institutions looking to engage with the global Turkish community can now partner with Evrim Ağacı through the Turkish Chambers.
Medical tourism in Türkiye is no longer a trend—it’s a global movement. Every year, millions of international patients travel to Türkiye for high-quality medical and dental care that is not only affordable but also powered by some of the most advanced technologies available. From Europe to North America, Türkiye is increasingly seen as the smart choice for those seeking expert treatment at reasonable costs.

We are proud to announce that RoselleDent, located in the beautiful coastal city of İzmir, is one of the newest members of the Turkish Chamber of Commerce Las Vegas. They are now offering their internationally recognized dental services to foreign patients through licensed medical tourism programs.

Why Türkiye? Why Now?

Türkiye’s medical tourism industry has grown rapidly, ranking among the top destinations globally for dental and cosmetic procedures. International patients are drawn not only by the savings—often up to 50–70% less than prices in the United States or Western Europe—but also by the country’s investment in modern healthcare facilities, internationally accredited clinics, and well-trained specialists.

Dental procedures such as implants, veneers, and full-mouth restorations can be completed in Türkiye with materials and techniques that match global standards, but at a more accessible price point—without sacrificing safety or quality.

RoselleDent: Trusted, Modern, and Chamber-Connected

RoselleDent is a licensed medical tourism facility based in İzmir, offering comprehensive dental services for international patients. This includes free video consultations, personalized treatment plans, and full-service coordination to make your visit seamless.

Their clinic features:

Treatment + Vacation: A Smart Combination

İzmir is not only a hub for advanced medical services but also a vibrant, scenic destination on Türkiye’s Aegean coast. Patients can combine their treatment with a relaxing vacation—whether enjoying the beaches of Çeşme, exploring ancient Ephesus, or strolling through the cafés and bazaars of Alsancak.

Many of RoselleDent’s international patients plan their visit to include time for sightseeing and recovery, turning their dental trip into a rejuvenating escape.

Schedule Your Consultation Today

Örneğin Türkiye’de her 100 üniversite mezunundan yaklaşık 25’i işsiz.

As Türkiye continues to develop its industrial and logistics capacity, the Turkish Chambers offer a grounded perspective on both the challenges and the enduring value proposition of investing in the country.

In recent years, Türkiye has experienced economic volatility, including high inflation, currency depreciation, and elevated borrowing costs. These macroeconomic conditions have created headwinds for local and international businesses alike. Yet, despite these hurdles, many global firms continue to see Türkiye as a strategic destination, particularly in light of shifting global supply chains, new trade barriers, and the growing demand for resilient regional production bases.

A Geopolitical and Trade Advantage

Türkiye’s location at the intersection of Europe, Asia, and the Middle East offers investors direct access to 1.3 billion consumers across surrounding regions. As companies move away from over-concentration in East Asia, Türkiye is being actively considered for nearshoring and diversification strategies, especially by European and Gulf-based firms.

Its membership in the EU Customs Union and extensive Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) with more than 30 countries offer a competitive advantage for manufacturers and exporters. In today’s environment of escalating global tariffs, Türkiye’s access to these preferential markets can significantly reduce risk and increase profitability.

Manufacturing Strength and Export Reach

Türkiye remains a robust industrial player, with well-established sectors in automotive, white goods, electronics, machinery, chemicals, textiles, and defense. Despite economic challenges, 2023 saw Türkiye reach a record-breaking $256 billion in exports, demonstrating its capacity to serve international markets.

The country is moving up the value chain, with a growing share of exports in medium-high-tech manufacturing. Türkiye’s role in global value chains (GVCs) continues to expand, driven by the presence of multinational corporations establishing R&D hubs, design centers, logistics platforms, and regional HQs.

Investment Zones and Incentives

Türkiye has designated multiple Free Zones (Free Trade Zones) to attract international investment. These zones offer favorable conditions such as:

Exemption from corporate income tax for manufacturing activities

Customs duty and VAT exemptions

Simplified trade procedures

Profit repatriation rights

No time limits for goods to remain within the zone

With over 18 active free zones, including those in Istanbul, Izmir, Mersin, and Antalya, Türkiye provides foreign investors a tailored, efficient, and legally secure base for export-oriented production. These zones are particularly attractive for companies operating in technology, life sciences, and advanced manufacturing.

Priority Sectors with Long-Term Potential

Türkiye continues to channel investment into strategic sectors, including:

E-mobility and battery technologies

Defense and aerospace

Agro-food technologies and processing

Information and communication technologies (ICT)

Life sciences and healthcare innovation

The government offers sector-specific incentives, ranging from tax deductions to land allocation, R&D grants, and customs exemptions.

Startups and Innovation Ecosystem

Türkiye is also home to a growing and competitive startup scene. Over the past three years, Turkish startups raised $4 billion in funding, with strength in gaming, fintech, logistics tech, and SaaS. Since 2020, seven unicorns have emerged from Türkiye, and Istanbul ranks #2 in Europe for gaming venture investments.

This growth is fueled by a young, highly educated, and tech-savvy workforce, along with a culture of entrepreneurship that continues to attract international venture capital.

Aligning with Global Sustainability Goals

Türkiye has introduced a unique Sustainable Development Goals Scoring Mechanism (SSM) to evaluate foreign investments based on their contributions to the UN SDGs. The mechanism prioritizes and accelerates projects aligned with sustainable development goals, particularly in energy transformation, circular economy, and green manufacturing.

This methodology has earned international recognition and was honored with the UN Excellence Award for Investment Promotion in Energy Transformation at the 2023 World Investment Forum in Abu Dhabi.

Navigating Türkiye’s Investment Climate with Confidence

While Türkiye’s economy is undergoing a complex transition, the country still offers strategic benefits for international investors seeking to diversify operations, access new markets, and leverage a central trade hub with deep manufacturing capabilities.

At the Turkish Chambers, we help foreign companies navigate Türkiye’s investment ecosystem — from evaluating sectoral incentives to setting up in free zones, and identifying the best government support programs aligned with your business model.

To explore further opportunities and stay informed about the latest investment policies, we recommend visiting the Investment Office of the Presidency of Türkiye.

As global trade undergoes a seismic shift, Türkiye finds itself uniquely positioned—challenged at home by persistent economic pressures, yet courted abroad by changing dynamics in international commerce. The country’s struggle with inflation continues to strain households and investors alike, yet a silver lining may have emerged from an unlikely source: Washington, D.C.

On April 2, the United States unveiled a sweeping new tariff structure, recalibrating its approach to trade with dozens of nations. For Türkiye, which faces a relatively modest 10 percent tariff on its exports to the U.S., the move may offer a rare economic opening. While major manufacturing hubs such as China and Indonesia now face levies of over 30 percent, Türkiye stands to become a more attractive partner for American firms seeking new supply chain options.

Yet for this opportunity to translate into real economic gains, Ankara must address challenges at home—starting with inflation.

A Fragile Recovery, Threatened by Inflation

As of February 2025, Türkiye’s inflation rate stands at 39.05 percent—still painful, though a modest improvement from January’s 42.12 percent. The Turkish lira continues to weaken, eroding purchasing power and heightening uncertainty. The Central Bank has projected a decline in inflation to 24 percent by year’s end, but the path there will demand fiscal discipline and clearer signals to markets.

To make meaningful progress, policymakers may need to:

Sustain higher interest rates to temper price growth;

Rein in public spending and stabilize key sectors such as energy and food;

Restore confidence in monetary governance, particularly among foreign investors.

These efforts, if successful, could enhance the competitiveness of Turkish goods abroad—especially in the U.S. market, where affordability increasingly shapes sourcing decisions.

Trade Winds and Strategic Realignment

In contrast to high-tariff regions now facing headwinds, Türkiye’s export profile—anchored in textiles, automotive components, and consumer electronics—makes it a viable alternative for U.S. firms diversifying away from Asia. But remaining competitive requires more than geography.

Improving product quality, complying with American standards, and cultivating direct ties with U.S. buyers will be critical. So too will be diplomatic engagement: relations between Ankara and Washington, D.C. have weathered their share of turbulence in recent years, but the new trade landscape offers common ground for recalibration.

Diversification as Economic Strategy

Türkiye’s long reliance on construction, textiles, and tourism has left its economy vulnerable to external shocks. To build greater resilience, the government may need to prioritize:

Technology-driven industries such as electric vehicles, renewable energy, and defense manufacturing;

Agricultural exports, particularly to North America, where food security concerns remain high;

Innovation ecosystems that support small businesses, startups, and research institutions.

Stability as a Prerequisite

Recent political developments have sparked protests and raised questions about the direction of Türkiye’s governance. While domestic tensions remain largely contained, the broader perception of political uncertainty poses a significant risk, particularly for foreign investors and trade partners who value predictability.

To unlock its economic potential and gain international trust, Türkiye must prioritize stability and transparency in both its political and economic institutions. This includes:

Maintaining a stable and accountable political system that upholds democratic norms and rule of law;

Rebuilding and strengthening relationships with Western allies, particularly the United States and the European Union;

Advancing legal and regulatory reforms designed to create a more business-friendly environment and reassure global markets.

In an era where trust is currency, Türkiye’s ability to project reliability could prove just as valuable as any trade agreement or tariff advantage.

A Manufacturing Magnet?

As the U.S. imposes new barriers on imports from key Asian economies, some companies may seek to circumvent tariffs by relocating production. Türkiye—with its skilled workforce, customs union with the EU, and proximity to major markets—could emerge as an alternative hub.

Incentives such as tax holidays, industrial free zones, and streamlined regulatory frameworks could help entice multinationals to set up operations. For Türkiye, the payoff could be significant:

Foreign Direct Investment: New factories could inject billions into the economy;

Employment Growth: Manufacturing expansion would generate jobs in urban and industrial regions;

Technology Transfer: Advanced production methods would elevate Türkiye’s industrial base;

Export Leverage: The country could position itself as a key player in transatlantic trade.

The Stakes of Transformation

This is a moment of recalibration—for Türkiye, for U.S. trade policy, and for the global economy writ large. The new tariffs represent more than a fiscal maneuver; they mark a potential redrawing of supply chains, political alignments, and economic identities.

For Türkiye, the stakes are especially high. Inflation remains stubborn, and structural reforms are overdue. Yet the opportunity is real: if Ankara can steady its domestic economy while seizing the opening in global trade, it may yet transform crisis into catalyst.

Strategic Caution in Foreign Investment

As Türkiye positions itself as an alternative manufacturing hub amid shifting global trade currents, officials must tread carefully in deciding which foreign investments to welcome. While the 10% U.S. tariff rate currently places Türkiye in a favorable trade position, that advantage could be jeopardized if the country inadvertently becomes a backdoor for companies from heavily sanctioned nations.

For example, should Türkiye allow significant Chinese investment in manufacturing aimed at exporting to the U.S., Washington may view it as an attempt by China to circumvent its 34% tariff rate—an outcome that could invite scrutiny or even prompt a reevaluation of Türkiye’s own tariff treatment. Similar risks apply to investment flows from other nations facing steep U.S. tariffs. In many respects, these new measures function not merely as economic penalties, but as targeted forms of pressure resembling modern-day embargoes.

To maintain its unique status and avoid entanglement in broader geopolitical disputes, Türkiye must develop a discerning investment strategy—one that maximizes industrial growth while safeguarding its privileged access to the American market. This will require strong regulatory oversight, transparent investment vetting mechanisms, and a clear long-term trade policy aligned with global compliance standards.

A Defining Moment for Türkiye

As the global economy recalibrates in response to the new U.S. tariffs, Türkiye finds itself at a critical juncture. Navigating this landscape will require not only bold economic reforms and diplomatic finesse, but also a strategic vision that prioritizes long-term resilience over short-term gains. If Türkiye can strike the right balance—managing inflation, ensuring political and regulatory stability, and cultivating trusted trade partnerships—it has the potential to transform this period of global disruption into a new era of economic strength and international relevance.

With little warning but unmistakable intent, the U.S. government on April 2 unveiled a sweeping set of tariffs that could alter the very architecture of global trade. The policy, aimed at recalibrating America’s trade priorities, has already sent shockwaves through manufacturing hubs from Southeast Asia to Sub-Saharan Africa. Now, nations are scrambling to adapt to what many are calling the most consequential shift in U.S. trade policy in a decade.

Far from just a matter of duties and percentages, these tariffs carry geopolitical weight. They’re expected to recast alliances, rewrite supply routes, and in some regions, deepen economic fault lines that could evolve into full-blown disputes. While some nations will find themselves squeezed by the new rules, others are emerging as surprise beneficiaries — or at least contenders in a rapidly changing global marketplace.

A Global Reordering in Motion

The new tariffs range dramatically, with developing economies like Lesotho (50%), Cambodia (49%), and Laos (48%) now facing punishing rates. Meanwhile, heavyweight players like China (34%) and Indonesia (32%) are seeing their trade calculus with the U.S. shift almost overnight. These measures are not mere technical adjustments — they are signals of a broader strategic reset.

For decades, the U.S. has shouldered trade imbalances and retaliatory tariffs from allies and adversaries alike. Now, American policymakers appear ready to test whether a more protectionist approach can revitalize domestic industry without igniting a larger trade war. That balance is far from guaranteed.

New Trade Opportunities — and Flashpoints

For a select group of countries, the tariff shake-up could prove to be an economic windfall — if they act quickly and strategically.

Türkiye: Positioned for a Comeback

At just 10%, Türkiye’s tariff rate leaves it well-placed to absorb manufacturing demand redirected from Asia. Long a textile and auto production powerhouse, Türkiye now finds itself at the center of renewed attention from American buyers. Its geographical proximity to both Europe and the Middle East only enhances its appeal.

Yet, Türkiye’s domestic troubles — spiraling inflation and a volatile lira — remain a risk. Still, those same issues make its exports cheaper in dollar terms, offering an edge that American importers may be keen to exploit. The challenge will be proving that Türkiye can deliver at scale — and with predictability.

Brazil: Resource-Rich and Ripe for Growth

Brazil, facing a similar 10% tariff, stands to gain in sectors where China is losing ground: steel, aluminum, and agricultural goods chief among them. The country’s biofuel industry, particularly ethanol, could also see a surge in U.S. demand, aligning with Washington’s clean energy goals.

What Brazil must avoid, however, is complacency. To truly capitalize, it will need to modernize infrastructure, cut red tape, and improve environmental practices — particularly under scrutiny from climate-focused investors in the U.S.

United Kingdom: Post-Brexit Realignment

For the United Kingdom, the timing is serendipitous. Still seeking solid footing after Brexit, London has long eyed Washington as its most logical trade partner. Pharmaceuticals, financial services, and high-tech goods remain key strengths — and with tariffs at a manageable 10%, U.K. firms have room to grow their presence across the Atlantic.

But U.K. officials know better than to take a favorable tariff as a guarantee of success. A future U.S.-U.K. free trade agreement is still a diplomatic aspiration, not a done deal.

🇲🇽 & 🇨🇦 North America’s Quiet Advantage

Though neither Mexico nor Canada enjoys the lowest tariff status, their existing integration with U.S. supply chains through the USMCA gives them a quiet edge. Both are expected to benefit as American firms seek to “friendshore” operations closer to home — a process accelerated by the new tariffs.

Factories in Monterrey and Toronto are already ramping up in anticipation of increased orders from U.S. buyers eager to bypass more heavily taxed Asian sources.

Central Asia: A Wild Card in Waiting?

Beyond the usual suspects, a quieter group of nations — including Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Tajikistan — are suddenly gaining relevance. With natural resources, growing industrial bases, and a hunger for global trade, these Central Asian countries may become dark-horse candidates for companies fleeing high-tariff zones.

To turn potential into payoff, these countries must address infrastructure gaps, governance challenges, and lingering investor hesitance. But the door is open — and for some, this may be the moment to step through.

Global Trade Realignment — or Economic Flashpoint?

Though framed as a strategic correction, the tariff rollout could unleash consequences far beyond spreadsheets and shipping routes. Analysts warn that this policy may ignite retaliatory measures, particularly from China, which has already hinted at “appropriate economic responses.” The specter of a new economic cold war — less ideological, more transactional — is not far-fetched.

At the same time, the tariffs may inspire new trade blocs, particularly among mid-tier economies looking to band together for greater bargaining power. In that way, April 2 may be remembered not just for who gained or lost, but for how the entire structure of global commerce began to shift.

A Pivotal Moment — and a Test of Strategy

At its core, the U.S. tariff move is about leverage, not just economic, but geopolitical. And for many Americans, it signals something deeper: a new chapter of economic renewal at home.

Across the country, manufacturers are sensing opportunity. Investors are eyeing domestic industries with fresh confidence. And workers, after years of uncertainty about globalization, are seeing a future where “Made in America” is not just a slogan, but a strategy.

Rather than a risky gamble, this policy marks a bold repositioning — one that could revitalize U.S. industry, foster innovation, and inspire a new era of homegrown investment. If executed with foresight and partnership, this chapter could set the stage for a more resilient, more self-reliant American economy — and a rebalanced global order.

Europe is facing growing challenges in food, water, and energy security, and Anatolia holds the key to addressing them. This study explores how Türkiye’s vast agricultural resources, advanced water management potential, and renewable energy capabilities can strengthen Europe’s resilience. By applying advanced scientific methods—including agro-ecological modeling, renewable energy assessments, and risk analysis—this research makes the case for a stronger EU-Türkiye partnership. The goal is not just cooperation but a transformative shift in how both regions manage resources, innovate together, and secure a sustainable future.

Yet every passing day without action is a lost opportunity. As the world moves faster than ever, delays in forging this strategic alliance will only deepen Europe’s vulnerabilities, making it harder to adapt to rapidly changing global conditions.

Why Europe Needs Anatolia—Now More Than Ever

Europe’s food supply is vulnerable to market fluctuations, inefficient agricultural practices, and environmental stress. At the same time, its dependence on fossil fuels and fragmented energy infrastructure makes it susceptible to shortages and price spikes. Water scarcity is an increasing threat to European agriculture, industries, and daily life, requiring immediate and innovative solutions. Türkiye, with its fertile lands, abundant renewable energy sources, and potential for advanced water management, offers a natural solution—but only if both sides commit to a strategic, science-driven approach before it’s too late.

The longer Europe hesitates, the greater the risks become. In an era where global crises unfold overnight, from supply chain disruptions to energy shortages, the cost of inaction is compounding daily. The EU cannot afford to wait while other regions rapidly adapt and secure their long-term food, water, and energy resilience.

Anatolia’s Agricultural Strength: A Climate Advantage for Europe’s Food Security

Türkiye’s four-season climate makes Anatolia one of the most diverse agricultural regions in the world. With its unique geographical position bridging Europe and Asia, the region offers ideal conditions for growing a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, and staple crops throughout the year. From Mediterranean citrus fruits to Central Anatolian wheat, from Aegean olives to Black Sea hazelnuts, the diversity of production makes Türkiye a natural solution to Europe’s increasing food security concerns.

However, unlocking this full potential requires modernization. Precision agriculture—using AI-driven analytics, remote sensing, and hyperspectral imaging—can help farmers optimize yields and reduce waste. Climate-resilient crops, advanced irrigation techniques, and improved land-use planning will ensure long-term sustainability.

Water Security: A Critical Factor for Sustainable Growth

Water is at the heart of sustainable agriculture and economic resilience. Türkiye is in a strategic position to lead Europe in water efficiency with investments in cutting-edge technologies. The adoption of advanced irrigation methods—such as precision drip systems, hydroponic farming, and AI-driven water distribution networks—can significantly reduce water waste and improve agricultural efficiency.

In addition, Türkiye’s potential in desalination technology and wastewater recycling offers a long-term solution to regional water shortages. Large-scale investments in these areas will not only benefit Türkiye but also provide Europe with a reliable partner for securing its agricultural and industrial water needs. However, these solutions require immediate investment. If action is delayed, both Türkiye and Europe will face increasing stress from climate-driven water shortages.

A Renewable Energy Powerhouse—If Europe Moves Fast Enough

Anatolia’s vast solar, wind, and geothermal energy resources could help diversify Europe’s energy mix and reduce dependence on fossil fuels. With high-resolution mapping and computational modeling, Türkiye can optimize its clean energy production and transmission to Europe. Investing in energy storage solutions, smart grids, and next-generation technologies will ensure this transition is efficient and scalable.

However, energy markets are shifting rapidly. Other regions are aggressively investing in renewables, securing long-term supply contracts, and adapting their energy policies. If Europe does not accelerate its collaboration with Türkiye, it risks falling behind in the race for energy security and sustainability. Every day that Türkiye’s renewable potential remains underutilized is a day that Europe remains exposed to unnecessary risks and missed opportunities.

Building a Resilient Future Together—Before It’s Too Late

Europe’s dependence on external food, water, and energy sources creates significant risks. By analyzing supply chain vulnerabilities and energy disruptions through advanced scenario modeling, this study underscores the urgency of a stronger EU-Türkiye partnership. Diversifying supply routes and aligning regulations will make both regions more resilient to global shocks.

But resilience requires foresight, and foresight requires timely action. The world is changing at an unprecedented pace—waiting for the “perfect moment” to act is no longer a viable strategy. The EU must recognize that delaying Türkiye’s integration into its economic and strategic framework is a decision with lasting consequences.

A Roadmap for Immediate Collaboration

To make this vision a reality, Türkiye and the EU must deepen their collaboration in research, technology, and policy—without further hesitation.

Food Security & Agricultural Innovation: Joint R&D initiatives in precision agriculture, climate-smart farming, and resilient food supply chains.

Water Management & Sustainability: Large-scale investment in water recycling, desalination, and AI-driven irrigation systems to ensure long-term water security.

Energy Independence & Green Technology: Co-investment in renewable energy projects, smart grids, and advanced storage solutions.

Infrastructure Development: Modernization of transportation and distribution networks to streamline supply chains and reduce bottlenecks.

Regulatory Alignment & Policy Coordination: Standardizing agricultural, water, and energy policies to facilitate seamless trade and investment.

Long-term stability requires structured engagement, and the time for discussions without action has passed. Türkiye’s role in European food, water, and energy security is too important to be left to market forces alone. There needs to be a coordinated, strategic effort, starting immediately, to build lasting economic and security ties.

A Call for Urgent Action

Türkiye’s potential to support Europe’s food, water, and energy security is enormous, but every delay in realizing this potential is a loss for Europe’s sustainable future. The global landscape is shifting at a speed never seen before, and hesitation is no longer an option.

This is not just about economic opportunity; it’s about securing Europe’s place in a rapidly evolving world. By embracing data-driven decision-making, technological innovation, and strategic planning today—not tomorrow—the EU and Türkiye can forge a partnership that ensures stability, prosperity, and resilience for future generations.

Industry experts suggest that the decline in stock prices of U.S. AI companies reflects a correction of market enthusiasm rather than a shift in fundamentals and is unlikely to impact long-term valuations. There are multiple reasons for this.

The AI hardware market is experiencing shortages, driving up prices for components like DRAM and leaving many contracts unfulfilled.

The Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) of U.S. hyperscale and AI companies remains steady, driven by consistent demand and monetization. AI is enhancing efficiency across industries, driving financial returns that sustain strong demand. Lowering the cost of AI—much like the shift from mainframes to minicomputers and PCs—has not shrunk the market but has significantly expanded it.

Microsoft’s CEO referencing Jevons Paradox was no coincidence. The paradox is named after William Stanley Jevons, a 19th-century English economist, who observed that technological improvements that increased the efficiency of coal use led to the increased consumption of coal in a wide range of industries.

“It is wholly a confusion of ideas to suppose that the economical use of fuel is equivalent to a diminished consumption.”
— W. Stanley Jevons, The Coal Question (1865)

DeepSeek’s claims have not been independently verified but appear to be based on sound theoretical foundations. Their announcement was strategically timed, as the next generation of models is anticipated within approximately 12 months.

DeepSeek claims that they have distilled existing models that are evolving toward more compact and efficient representations, thereby reducing computational needs. They reported spending around USD 6 million to train their model—more than 10x lower than the cost of Meta’s (Facebook’s) models. They achieved this capability using lower-performance NVIDIA GPUs, which are also lower in cost. Due to export controls, they could not use high-end NVIDIA GPUs.

Chinese companies have been forced to focus on efficiency, unlike U.S. companies that simply throw money at the problem. DeepSeek models roughly match the accuracy of ChatGPT-4o. Each new generation of ChatGPT models is about 10x bigger than the previous one, and the new models are being released in about a year. The next-generation ChatGPT-5 is expected in approximately 12 months. It will take DeepSeek time to develop more compact and distilled models like ChatGPT-5.

The huge contribution of DeepSeek to humanity is that applying their techniques to next-generation models—making them 10x more efficient—will mean that future models will require similar resources and costs as today’s models, rather than being 10x more expensive.

DeepSeek is open source, allowing all AI developers to adopt these efficient approaches.

Artificial Intelligence

Today’s Generative AI and the Path to AGI

Today’s generative AI falls far short of true Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). It is trained on only a fraction of the text produced by humanity. If the current rate of model growth can be sustained, AI models will be trained on all human-produced text by approximately 2032.

Therefore, improvements and demand for greater capacity should continue for at least 7–8 more years. However, sustaining the current growth rate will become increasingly difficult due to financial constraints, power limitations, and semiconductor capacity.

AI Hardware and Efficiency Improvements

AI models function as AI software running on AI hardware. DeepSeek models currently run on NVIDIA GPUs but are compatible with other hardware. Tachyum is working to port DeepSeek onto its hardware.

The industry is exploring multiple ways to improve efficiency. A key development is that DeepSeek used FP8 data formats instead of BF16 (used by Google TPU) for training.

FP8 takes 2× less memory than BF16 and provides about 4× higher semiconductor efficiency and/or improved power efficiency.

Tachyum announced FP8 support years ago, and it is expected that the entire AI industry will transition to FP8 training.

Tachyum’s FP8 matrix multiply-add reportedly operates at a higher precision than NVIDIA’s FP8, which should yield even better results for DeepSeek.

The next frontier in efficiency is FP4 training, which is:

4× more efficient than FP8 training

Consumes 2× less memory

The industry is making steady progress toward FP4 training, and Tachyum’s hardware provides superior support for it. Notably, Tachyum unveiled FP4 technology years before NVIDIA even mentioned it. If DeepSeek—or the broader AI industry—masters FP4 training, Tachyum’s Prodigy hardware will become the superior platform for AI processing.

Tachyum’s Role in AI Advancements

Tachyum has previously published research on Tachyum AI (TAI) 4-bit and 2-bit effective weights for Large Language Models (LLM). The findings revealed that:

4-bit weights are fully viable for AI models.

2-bit weights cause only minor accuracy degradation.

To the best of our knowledge, Tachyum’s AI efficiency achievements have not yet been surpassed by NVIDIA. For generative AI inference, Tachyum’s chips are expected to further improve the efficiency of DeepSeek.

Another key DeepSeek innovation—which is hardware-independent—is the optimization of Mixture of Experts (MoE) models in generating responses.

Preliminary findings suggest that DeepSeek requires 10× fewer experts to load into memory and activate.

This breakthrough is expected to be adopted soon by U.S. AI leaders such as OpenAI, Meta, Microsoft, and Google.

Overall, Tachyum views the DeepSeek announcement as extremely positive, validating Tachyum’s processor development strategy.

Global AI Competition and U.S. Response

Tachyum’s Prodigy chips will accelerate the deployment of next-generation models like ChatGPT-5. Without them, the 10× larger models would be too costly to deploy in ROI-sensitive markets.

Due to chip export restrictions, Chinese companies have prioritized efficiency—and succeeded. Since DeepSeek is open source, U.S. companies will now rush to catch up with DeepSeek’s software advancements, resulting in more cost-effective and power-efficient AI worldwide.

U.S. Response to DeepSeek’s Advancements:

Top officials have referred to DeepSeek’s progress as a “Sputnik moment”, recognizing the urgency of AI investment.

This has led to discussions about a U.S. AI Manhattan Project, focusing on dramatic AI investment and R&D expansion.

The StarGate project aims to raise and invest $100–500 billion USD in AI over the next four years.

Other nations are now expected to increase their AI R&D budgets to remain competitive.

“Tachyum will enable the widespread implementation of next-generation AI models like ChatGPT-5 much sooner. Without our Prodigy chips, the cost of 10× larger models would significantly constrain deployment in ROI-sensitive markets.”
